The UK is likely to experience its hottest June day on record since 1976, with temperatures forecast to rise above 35C (95F). The Met Office has issued a rare red warning for extreme heat for parts of England and Wales from 09:00 BST on Wednesday until 21:00 on Thursday. This heatwave is not limited to the UK, with countries across Europe suffering extreme temperatures and deaths.
