Tensions are rising following a developing situation involving the Kristo Asafo succession dispute and the suspension of Kantanka Security Services Limited's operating licence.

The Ministry of the Interior has suspended the company after alleged breaches involving unapproved uniforms and the use of firearms and ammunition by personnel during duty. The suspension follows an alleged shooting incident at the Akofena Palace in Kwabenya, Accra, in which former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, reportedly sustained injuries.

A spokesperson for the Apostle Kwadwo Safo family, Dr. Emmanuel Boakye, has described the events leading to the incident, alleging that over 48 bullets were fired into Adwoa Safo's vehicle. He further confirmed that the former MP is currently receiving treatment following the attack.

Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and related security concerns.
