Calm Returns to Akofena Palace After Adwoa Safo Shooting Incident
Calm has been restored at the Akofena Palace in Kwabenya, Accra, following an alleged shooting incident involving former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo amid tensions linked to a leadership succession dispute within her late father's Kristo Asafo Movement.
According to reports, police officers who were deployed to the palace on Sunday to maintain security have since been withdrawn as the situation normalised.
Checks by Channel One News indicate that only stewards and members believed to be part of the church remain on the premises.
Meanwhile, the former MP is reportedly receiving treatment at a health facility in Accra as investigations into the incident continue.
