The directive by the Ghana Education Service to ban flamboyant post-examination celebrations on school premises has generated widespread discussion.

NDC National Communications Member, Abdulai Sakra Alhassan, has defended the move, describing it as a necessary step to restore discipline, modesty, and fairness within Ghana's education system. He argues that celebrations can still take place outside school environments while ensuring students are evaluated based on merit rather than material displays.

The discussion also touched on the whereabouts of Sedina Attionu-Tamakloe, with Abdulai Sakra Alhassan expressing confidence that she is in custody while calling on relevant state institutions to provide clearer public communication to address lingering concerns.

Meanwhile, Editor of The Newscenta Newspaper, Elvis Darko, questioned the growing trend of rewarding underage students with luxury gifts such as vehicles, arguing that such practices could encourage minors to breach road traffic laws and undermine discipline among students.

The panellists examined the broader implications of discipline, accountability, parenting, and societal values in shaping Ghana's future.
