Two persons have been confirmed dead following the collapse of a building at Gyagyaano in Cape Coast after heavy rainfall on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
The victims, a 12-year-old girl and a 40-year-old woman, were among four occupants rescued from the rubble by the Ghana National Fire Service.
The survivors were rushed to the Ewim Polyclinic, where the two fatalities were confirmed.
Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the collapse as concerns grow over building safety during extreme weather conditions.
