Across the country, Republicans are making it harder to cast a ballot – eliminating early voting, requiring photo ID, and targeting voter registration nonprofits like the Ohio Organizing Collaborative. Taken together, these moves reveal a coordinated effort to reshape voter access from the bottom up, while the Trump administration applies pressure from the top down. But the targets say it's backfiring. "It did not deter us in any way, shape, form, or fashion," says Ohio Organizing Collaborative's board member, Michael Harrison, calling the investigation a "catalyst" to do even more.
