Residents of Boli in the Wa Municipality say limited access to markets is negatively affecting their livelihoods, with farmers reporting reduced profits due to high transportation costs.

They explain that the long distances to existing markets make it difficult to sell produce efficiently, especially during peak farming seasons.

The Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Issah Nura Danwanaa, says the community has been earmarked for the construction of a satellite market to improve trading opportunities and bring commercial activities closer to farmers.

The initiative is expected to ease transportation burdens, boost local trade, and improve incomes for farming communities in the area.
