The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (Ghana Health Service), Prof. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, has appealed to the youth of Salaga to remain calm and desist from any planned attacks on health professionals.
The appeal follows threats made by some youth in a viral social media video, in connection with a missing baby incident that has heightened tensions in the community.
The situation has already led to the arrest of two midwives at the Salaga Municipal Hospital as investigations continue.
Authorities are urging residents to allow due process to take its course while security agencies work to resolve the matter and maintain peace in the area.
