Israeli envoy clashes with UN official over blacklist reports #worldnow

Israel's UN Ambassador Danny Danon clashed with UN official Vanessa Frazier at a meeting in New York on June 19 after condemning two UN reports that listed Israel over alleged conflict-related sexual violence involving Palestinians and grave violations against Palestinian children in Gaza and the West Bank.

Danon demanded the resignation of Pramila Patten, the UN special representative on conflict-related sexual violence, accusing her of bias after her report blacklisted Israel for the first time. Frazier interrupted on a point of order, saying personal attacks were not allowed and that the UN had verified evidence. Danon then told her to be quiet and said she could leave if she did not want to listen. #worldnow
