Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has returned to Ghana after a visit to Canada, where she joined Ghanaian supporters in cheering on the Black Stars during their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Vice President was part of Ghana's high-profile delegation that rallied behind the national team as they secured a crucial victory over Panama in their opening Group L fixture.

Her visit formed part of efforts to demonstrate national support for the Black Stars as they pursue qualification to the knockout stages of the tournament.

The Black Stars have since shifted focus to their next challenge against England as preparations continue for another crucial World Cup encounter.
