UCC Issues Alert as Heavy Rain Causes Campus Flooding

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has alerted members of its community to avoid several parts of the campus following flooding caused by heavy rainfall on Friday.
In a notice issued by the Directorate of Public Affairs, the university said the downpour has led to flooding in key areas, disrupting movement and raising safety concerns for students, staff, and residents in surrounding communities.
The affected areas include Avenue Circle (Science Roundabout), the Zenith Bank area, the rear of the Sandwich Lecture Theatre, Ayensu, and parts of Sasakawa Road.
Authorities are urging students and staff to exercise caution as efforts are made to assess the situation and restore safe movement across campus.
