The NPP Communications Director, speaking on The Big Issue with Umaru Sanda Amadu, has responded to comments made by Kennedy Agyapong regarding the Afari Military Hospital project, describing aspects of his remarks as inaccurate.
He clarified that the hospital was about 40–46% complete when the NPP took office in 2017, and stated that an additional 52% of the work has since been completed, bringing the project to about 98% completion.
According to him, the remaining work required to complete and operationalise the facility is minimal and estimated at around $500,000, urging that the project should not be politicised as it is critical for healthcare delivery in the Ashanti Region.
He also addressed concerns about internal party discipline, noting that any discussion on whether Kennedy Agyapong's conduct amounts to anti-party behaviour should be handled through the appropriate party structures.
The discussion forms part of ongoing debates about infrastructure delivery, political accountability, and internal party cohesion.
