National Theatre Hosts Funworld to Promote Environmental Awareness

The National Theatre has held a special edition of its flagship youth and family edutainment programme, Funworld, aimed at promoting environmental awareness among young people through the creative arts.

As part of activities marking this year's World Earth Day and World Environment Day, the June edition of Funworld brought together pupils from various schools for performances including drama, poetry, quizzes, debates, and music, all focused on environmental sustainability.

Speaking at the event, the Head of Programmes at the National Theatre, William Ashong, highlighted the importance of the performing arts in shaping children's character, broadening their understanding of society, and developing essential life skills.

The initiative seeks to encourage young people to become active participants in environmental protection and sustainability efforts.
