#CitiCBS mourns lawyer, Sara Araba Tettey who died celebrating Ghana’s win over Panama Victory 🇬🇭🕯️
On the Citi Breakfast Show, Richard Dela Sky paid tribute to 26-year-old private legal practitioner Sara Araba Tettey, who tragically passed away after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest while celebrating Ghana's victory over Panama in the Black Stars' opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Sara Araba Tettey, a newly qualified lawyer and alumna of the KNUST Faculty of Law, was said to have collapsed during jubilant scenes at Standard Hostel near the KNUST campus in Kumasi.
She was rushed to the KNUST Hospital, where medical personnel reportedly administered CPR for about 45 minutes in an attempt to save her life, but she was later pronounced dead.
The young lawyer, who was called to the Ghana Bar earlier this year and worked with O & A Legal Consult, has been widely remembered as intelligent, compassionate, hardworking and full of promise.
Her sudden passing has deeply affected colleagues, friends, members of the legal fraternity and many Ghanaians who have expressed condolences and paid tribute to her memory.
