Andy Burnham wins UK by-election: Labour politician expected to challenge PM Starmer

A Labour politician seen as a potential challenger to Prime Minister Kier Starmer has secured a key by-election victory. Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham was elected MP for the Makerfield constituency in northern England, winning with over 25,000 votes.
