Zoomlion Calls for Strict Enforcement of Sanitation Laws to Fight Flooding

Management of Zoomlion Ghana Limited in the Ga West Municipality is calling for the strict enforcement of sanitation laws to help address the persistent flooding challenges affecting communities in the area.

The appeal comes amid the ongoing Clean Up Accra Initiative, a collaborative campaign spearheaded by Zoomlion Ghana Limited in partnership with Channel One TV, the Ghana Police Service, and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).

According to Zoomlion, while desilting drains and conducting clean-up exercises remain important, long-term success in combating flooding will require stronger compliance with sanitation regulations and greater public responsibility.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts to improve environmental sanitation, reduce flood risks, and protect lives and property during the rainy season.
