UG Nkabom Calls for More Inclusion in Ghana’s Agri-Food Sector

The Nkabom Collaborative at the University of Ghana is calling for increased participation of young women, persons with disabilities, and internally displaced persons in Ghana's agri-food system.

Speaking at a stakeholder workshop in Accra, Collaborative Lead of UG Nkabom, Richard Nii Okai Aryeetey, said many young people face barriers such as limited income, caregiving responsibilities, and lack of access to opportunities.

He noted that the programme is providing training, mentorship, and business support to help young people build sustainable livelihoods within the agri-food sector.

The initiative aims to promote inclusion and strengthen participation across Ghana's agricultural value chain.
