President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has called for concrete and coordinated action to advance the implementation of the United Nations resolution on reparations for enslaved Africans.
Speaking at the High-Level Consultative Conference on the “Next Steps” under the UN Resolution on enslaved Africans in Accra, he praised Ghana's leadership in addressing historical injustices and reaffirmed Senegal's commitment to the global reparations agenda.
President Faye stressed that the international community must move beyond declarations and ensure that commitments translate into meaningful action involving governments, institutions, and civil society.
