Shanghai Disney Resort celebrated its 10th anniversary on June 16. The world's sixth Disney resort, Shanghai Disney has grown from its classic Mickey Mouse roots to original creations like LinaBell and, in 2023, unveiled the world's only Zootopia-themed land. Now, a ninth themed land based on Spider-Man is in the works, along with plans for its third and fourth hotels.

The mix is described as "Authentically Disney and Distinctly Chinese," and its pull is undeniable. In ten years, the resort has welcomed over 100 million guests, a milestone reached last October. The growth feeds into the local economy with more than 15,000 new jobs and busy cash registers throughout the city.

But behind the numbers are the visitors, cast members and stories that cast a spell on all who walk through its gates.
