The Clean Up Accra campaign has continued in Abokobi in the Ga East Municipality, where a major dredging exercise is underway to improve drainage and reduce the risk of flooding.
The exercise, led by Dredge Masters, focuses on expanding a key drainage channel through which the Onasia River flows, aiming to improve water flow and mitigate flood-related challenges in the area.
According to reports by Channel One News' Charles Owusu Kumi, the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen flood prevention measures across Accra and its surrounding communities.
The project is expected to enhance drainage capacity and reduce the impact of heavy rains in flood-prone areas.
