Minority Demands Probe Into Ghana Gold Board Over GH¢9bn Loss

The Minority in Parliament is calling for the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board to be summoned before the House over alleged procurement breaches they say resulted in a GH¢9 billion loss to the organisation.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin emphasised the need for transparency and accountability in the operations of the Gold Board.
The Minority insists that Parliament must exercise stronger oversight to ensure proper use of public resources and safeguard state institutions from financial mismanagement.
The matter is expected to generate further debate in the House in the coming days.
