Guan MP Slams Canada Over Thomas Partey Visa Refusal

Member of Parliament for Guan, Fred Agbenyo, has strongly criticised Canada's decision to deny Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey entry ahead of Ghana's FIFA World Cup opener.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament, the lawmaker described the decision as unfair, arguing that Partey was not travelling to Canada for work or leisure but solely to participate in an international football match before leaving the country.

Mr. Agbenyo also expressed disappointment in FIFA, stating that the world football governing body should have intervened in the matter.

The comments add to growing debate surrounding Canada's refusal to grant a visa to the Black Stars midfielder, a development that has generated widespread discussion among football fans and political leaders alike.
