The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Emelia Arthur, says Ghana's blue economy agenda is focused on leveraging oceans and inland water bodies to create jobs, strengthen food systems, and build climate resilience.
She explained that the strategy also prioritizes empowering women and young people to participate meaningfully in the fisheries and aquaculture value chain.
According to her, the initiative forms part of Ghana's broader effort to harness ocean resources sustainably for economic growth and long-term national development.
