The Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP Programme) is set to expand its beneficiary base nationwide, with an additional 50,000 households expected to be enrolled.
Head of Communications for LEAP, Colson Akanbasiam, says this expansion will increase total beneficiaries from 350,000 to 400,000 following a nationwide reassessment exercise.
He also revealed plans to index LEAP grants to inflation, a move aimed at protecting vulnerable households from the impact of rising living costs.
The update forms part of government's broader social protection agenda to reduce poverty and improve livelihoods across Ghana.
