California Gov. says DOJ is targeting him and his wife

California Governor Gavin Newsom accused the Trump administration of using the Department of Justice to target him and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom. The Democratic leader says Trump is targeting him because of his plans to run for the presidency in 2028.

In a speech posted to X on Monday, June 15, Newsom slammed the president, calling him "the most corrupt president in American history." He also accused Trump of abusing presidential powers to target political enemies.

The Department of Justice has not commented on the investigation.
