The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has received a BBB+ long-term issuer credit rating and an A-2 short-term issuer credit rating from S&P Global Ratings.
According to S&P, the upgrade reflects the Bank's strengthened strategic role, expanding balance sheet, and increasing influence in supporting African economies through periods of global economic shocks.
The rating also underscores growing investor confidence in Afreximbank's financial stability and its continued role in facilitating trade and development across the continent.
