How suspected Iranian sea mines in Hormuz could delay Trump’s reopening plan

Iran has never confirmed or denied whether it has laid mines in the Strait of Hormuz. However, The United States and security analysts have repeatedly said the middle of the Strait is potentially the site of thousands of sea mines. That uncertainty has been enough to keep ships from crossing.
