Speaking at the High-Level African Blue Food Leadership Roundtable in Mombasa, Kenya, the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Emelia Arthur, said the initiative is designed to drive innovation, attract investment, and promote sustainable growth within the fisheries and aquaculture sector. The Blue Food Innovation Hub is expected to support research, technology development, and value-chain improvement in Africa's blue economy, while creating opportunities for sustainable fisheries management and food security. The Minister emphasized that the project forms part of Ghana's broader strategy to modernize the fisheries sector and expand private sector participation in sustainable aquaculture development.
