Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, says government is actively addressing concerns raised by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) over delays in the payment of book and research allowances.
He explained that the Ministry of Finance has approved the relevant documentation and that a resolution process is already underway to clear outstanding payments.
The Minister also made a light-hearted remark about the exchange rate to be used for the calculations, drawing attention to ongoing discussions around public sector compensation.
