UK PM: Social media is making children unhappy

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced plans to ban social media access for all children under 16, calling it "the right choice" and warning that platforms are harming young people's well-being. The proposed ban would cover apps including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, X and YouTube, with the government aiming to pass the legislation by the end of the year and bring it into force next spring.
