US and Iran reach ceasefire agreement after months of fighting
The United States and Iran say they have agreed a deal to end their war after months of conflict. Both sides promise an immediate halt to fighting, but key details remain unclear—and at times conflicting—including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the scope of the ceasefire. The deal is expected to be formally signed Friday in Switzerland.
