Government has expressed optimism about securing a favourable outcome in its engagement with Canadian authorities following the visa denial of Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey.
Partey was reportedly denied entry into Canada ahead of Ghana's FIFA World Cup opener against Panama in Toronto on Wednesday, June 17.
Authorities say diplomatic engagements are ongoing to resolve the matter and ensure the situation does not affect Ghana's participation in the tournament.
The development adds uncertainty to Ghana's preparations as the team gears up for its opening World Cup fixture.
