Nyankrom Residents Cry for Urgent Repair of Bad Road After Rains

Residents of Nyankrom in the Shama District are appealing for urgent intervention to repair the Nyankrom Junction–Nyankrom town road, which has deteriorated significantly following recent rains.
The community, which hosts key industries including tile and water-closet manufacturing plants, says the poor state of the road is affecting movement of goods and daily activities.
Residents blame the damage on frequent use of the stretch by heavy-duty trucks, which they say has worsened the already fragile road surface.
They are calling on government and relevant authorities to step in quickly to restore the road and prevent further disruption to economic activity in the area.
