WATCH: Mahama Cares Receives GH¢6.1 Million Contribution From Salaries of President, Appointees
A total of GH¢6.1 million comprising contributions from the salaries of the President, political appointees, staff at Jubilee House, and asset declaration defaulters has been formally presented to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, popularly known as Mahama Cares.
The presentation was made by Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, who disclosed that the Controller and Accountant General's Department had already transferred the funds to the Trust Fund.
The contribution forms part of efforts to support the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, an initiative established by John Dramani Mahama to provide financial assistance to individuals battling chronic and life-threatening medical conditions.
The donation fulfills President Mahama's pledge to contribute six months of his salary to the Fund and his call on political appointees to do the same.
