Turkish cat steals the show at Romeo and Juliet play

A Turkish cat took to the stage and stole the show during the final scene of a Romeo and Juliet ballet performance by the Imperial Russian Ballet Company in Turkiye's Izmir on Wednesday, June 10.

The cat can be seen clawing at Romeo's hair as he lies dead on stage, while Juliet agonises over the loss of her lover.

The ballet dancers continue the performance as usual, while the cat later climbs atop one of the props.
