For the first time in 53 years, the New York Knicks are NBA champions. Overnight, celebrations erupted outside Madison Square Garden and across New York City after the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 94 to 90 in a nail-biting Game 5 victory in the NBA Finals. Knicks Guard Jalen Brunson scored a series-high 45 points in the win and was named Finals MVP.
