A member of the NPP Communications Team, Sylvester Tetteh, has argued that plea bargaining should not be interpreted as an admission of guilt.

Speaking on The Big Issue, he described plea bargains as legitimate legal mechanisms designed to resolve cases within the justice system. He stressed that fairness, consistency, and due process must guide public discussions around such cases, regardless of the political affiliations of those involved.

According to him, accountability should apply equally to all citizens without double standards or selective outrage.
