China's stories are ready for the world
For the first time, Chinese actress Xin Zhilei is serving as a film festival jury member.
Speaking from a juror's perspective, she said Chinese-language films are getting better and better, not just in technology but in the way they tell stories rooted in local culture and human emotion.
From "Ne Zha" to this year's "Dear You," Xin said these films show the richness and emotional power of Chinese stories.
She hopes more of China's stories and the deep emotions behind them can be seen by audiences around the world.
Xin believes Chinese-language cinema will only continue to get stronger.
