The Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly has demolished illegal structures at the Agbogbloshie Onion Market as part of efforts to clear blocked waterways and reduce the risk of flooding.
The exercise was carried out with support from the military, police, and National Security, targeting structures that were obstructing drainage channels in the area.
Municipal Chief Executive for Ablekuma Central, Frank Nkansah, cautioned residents and traders against rebuilding on waterways, stating that enforcement actions will continue.
