“We Don’t Even Have a 1-Minute Economy” — Dr. Stephen Amoah Attacks Gov’t Policies

Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has criticised government's approach to job creation and economic policy, describing Ghana's entrepreneurial ecosystem as weak.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament, he argued that while capital is important for entrepreneurs, targeted policies are even more critical for sustainable job creation.

He questioned flagship government initiatives such as the proposed “24-hour economy” and “Big Push” agenda, insisting that they have not translated into real employment opportunities.

According to him, inadequate research and weak data analysis have led to policies that have failed to deliver meaningful jobs for Ghanaians, particularly the youth.

His remarks add to ongoing parliamentary debate over rising unemployment and economic management in the country.
