Two sisters raise global awareness for neurodiversity and mental health
The 19th session of the Conference of States Parties (COSP19) to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities concluded at the United Nations in New York, celebrating the treaty's 20th anniversary. This year's theme focused on building on past achievements to help people with disabilities thrive. During the event, Karina Mitchell spoke with sisters Lara and Maya Hammoud, co-founders of the Perception Foundation, about their work to raise awareness of neurodiversity and mental health through their youth-led nonprofit.
