John Dumelo Announces Poultry Processing Plants Across Ghana

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has announced plans to establish poultry processing plants across the country as part of efforts to strengthen Ghana's poultry value chain.

Delivering a statement on the floor of Parliament, John Dumelo explained that the initiative follows the groundbreaking ceremony for a poultry processing plant in Bechem last year.

According to the Deputy Minister, government anticipates a poultry glut in the coming years and is therefore investing in processing facilities across various regions to create a decentralised and resilient poultry industry.

The move is expected to support farmers, reduce post-production losses, promote value addition, and enhance food security while creating jobs across the agricultural sector.
