Desilting is underway at Kaneshie Market as part of Day 2 of the Clean Up Accra initiative, aimed at improving sanitation and reducing flooding risks in the city.
The exercise is being led by Zoomlion Ghana Limited, in partnership with Channel One TV, the Ghana Police Service, and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).
Authorities say the initiative is part of a broader effort to keep public spaces clean, improve drainage systems, and prevent flooding in vulnerable areas of Accra.
