Tajikistan calls for stronger global cooperation on human rights at Beijing forum
Umed Bobozoda, commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered a speech at the 2026 Global Human Rights Governance High-Level Forum in Beijing, highlighting Tajikistan's efforts to strengthen human rights protection through legal development, institutional improvements and public engagement.
Bobozoda emphasized the importance of national human rights institutions in protecting citizens' rights, preventing discrimination and promoting equality. He also called for enhanced international cooperation and greater efforts in human rights education to address global challenges.
