What does a dragon boat race look like?

Dragon boat racing originated in ancient China over 2,000 years ago. It is believed to honor Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet. Qu drowned himself in the Miluo River in despair of the royal governance then. Upon learning of the incident, locals took out boats to search for his body in the river, dropping rice dumplings into the water to prevent him from being eaten by fish. This tradition later became the Dragon Boat Festival and the modern sport of dragon boat racing. In Europe, it has grown into a popular sport.
