Minority Members of Parliament on the Health Select Committee have expressed strong concern over delays in the operationalisation of key health facilities in the Ashanti Region.

The group has vowed to mount pressure on government until major hospitals under construction are fully completed and opened for public use.

Among the facilities cited are the 500-bed Afari Military Hospital, the Atwima Kwanwoma and Oforikrom Municipal Hospitals being developed under the Agenda 111 initiative, as well as the 250-bed Sewua Hospital.

The MPs criticised the delay in making these facilities functional, arguing that their completion is critical to improving healthcare delivery in the region.

They say they will continue to push for accountability and timely action to ensure the hospitals serve their intended purpose.
