HR Professionals Warned: Ethics and Accountability Must Come First

The Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM) Ghana is calling on HR professionals to uphold accountability, ethical leadership, and the responsible use of authority in the workplace.

Speaking at the institute's 2026 conference, CIHRM President Florence Hutchful cautioned practitioners against allowing personal interests to influence professional decisions, stressing the importance of integrity and fairness in human resource management.

The conference also highlighted the critical role HR professionals play in building healthy workplace cultures and maintaining trust between employees and management.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Human Resource Manager of Citi FM and Channel One TV, Jen Barkey Anane-Nsiah, encouraged HR practitioners to adopt an open-door policy that promotes trust, effective communication, employee engagement, and a supportive work environment.

The discussions focused on strengthening leadership, improving workplace relationships, and ensuring HR remains a key driver of organizational success.
