From North Macedonia to China: Films as mirrors of society

At the first North Macedonian Film Showcase in China, documentary producer and editor Atanas Georgiev reflected on storytelling, cultural exchange and the power of cinema to connect audiences across borders.

When Honeyland traveled from a remote village in North Macedonia to audiences around the world, it showed how deeply local stories can resonate far beyond their place of origin.
