Afari Military Hospital Delay: Minority MPs Blast Government Over Stalled Project

Minority members of Parliament's Health Committee have criticised government over delays in operationalising the 500-bed Afari Military Hospital in the Ashanti Region.
The MPs are currently touring the facility as part of efforts to pressure government into completing and commissioning abandoned health infrastructure across the country. The visit comes amid growing strain on the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), which continues to face heavy patient congestion.
Speaking during the inspection, Ranking Member Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie expressed concern about the deteriorating state of the facility and urged government to take urgent steps to complete and operationalise it to improve healthcare delivery.
