Shops opposite Mallam Market are set to be demolished to allow the free flow of water as part of measures to address recurring flooding in the area.
According to NADMO's Greater Accra Regional Director, Dennis Nartey Adjannor, the move forms part of ongoing efforts to improve drainage systems and reduce flood risks in affected communities.
Authorities say the exercise is necessary to ensure waterways are cleared and to prevent future destruction caused by flooding.
